Step 2: Basic questions
Tell the wizard a little about your hearing.
The Basic step asks up to three questions. Each one appears after you answer the one before. Next becomes available once you have answered what is shown.
Is your hearing the same in both ears?
Choose Same in Both or Noticeably different.
If you choose Noticeably different, the wizard reminds you that wired headphones give the most accurate results.
Are you comfortable sharing whether you know if you have hearing loss?
Choose Yes or No.
If you choose No, the wizard replies: "That's okay — we'll figure it out together." You do not need a diagnosis to use the Tuning Wizard.

This appears if you answered Yes. Choose the closest match:
- Trouble with high pitches
- Trouble with low pitches
- I don't know
Why these questions matter
Your answers help the wizard decide which profiles to play first, so that you reach a good result faster. They do not label or record a diagnosis, and you can change an answer by going back.
